Wise made his NASCAR debut on the Nationwide Series in 2007, finishing in 17th place at the Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. He competed in 17 races in 2008 for Fitz Motorsports and Michael Waltrip Racing, earning one Top 10 finish. He raced part-time in 2010 in the #7 JR Motorsports Chevy, and split driving duties with teammate Danica Patrick in 2011. He made his debut in the Sprint Cup Series in 2011 driving the No. 37 Bradley University Ford Fusion at the Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway and finished in 42nd place.
