Dillon, who is the grandson of Richard Childress and the son of former driver Mike Dillon, was the 2008 K&N Pro Series East Rookie of the Year, and followed that up by being named Rookie of the Year in the 2010 Camping World Truck Series. In 2011, he earned his first win on that series at Nashville Superspeedway, and later added another victory at Chicagoland. He made his Sprint Cup Series debut on October 9 2011 and finished 27th in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Dillon will move up to the Nationwide Series on a fulltime basis in 2012 and drive for Richard Childress Racing.
