Mayfield wins at Michigan
Jeremy Mayfield earned his first win of the season Sunday afternoon, as he held off Scott Riggs to claim the checkered flag in the GFS Marketplace 400 at the Michigan International Speedway.
Tony Stewart finished in fifth spot and still leads the driver standings after 23 events. Only three races remain until the Chase for the Nextel Cup begins.
Matt Kenseth was third at Michigan, while Carl Edward finished in fourth. Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Joe Nemechek, Brian Vickers and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top 10.
The drivers of NASCAR hit the track again next Saturday at the Bristol Motor Speedway in the Sharpie 500.
