Ryan Newman held off Tony Stewart Sunday afternoon to claim the checkered flag in the Sylvania 300 at the New Hampshire International Speedway.
Tony Stewart remains atop the drivers standings after the first race of the Chase for the Nextel Cup. Ford drivers Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle finished third and fourth.
Rounding out the rest of the top 10 were Dale Earnhardt Jr., Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick.
The drivers of NASCAR hit the track next week at the Dover International Speedway for the MBNA RacePoints 400.
