Johnson wins in Las Vegas
Jimmie Johnson edged Matt Kenseth at the finish line Sunday to claim the checkered flag in the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
With the win Johnson maintained his hold on first place in the drivers standings. Kenseth moved into second place in the drivers standings and now sits 52 points behind Johnson.
Kyle Busch was third in Vegas, and was followed closely by Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon in fourth and fifth. Mark Martin was sixth and Jeff Burton was seventh.
Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Greg Biffle, Casey Mears and Denny Hamlin.
The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next Sunday at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Golden Corral 500.
