Hamlin wins at Pocono
NASCAR Rookie Denny Hamlin went from the pole position to 40th overall Sunday, but found his way through the rest of the pack to get back to first and win the Pocono 500 at the Pocono Raceway.
Jimmie Johnson, who finished 10th Sunday, continues to lead the Nextel Cup standings with 2145 points. Johnson is 53 points ahead of Matt Kenseth, who was fifth at Pocono.
Despite racing with a broken shoulder blade Tony Stewart finished in third place on Sunday. Brian Vickers crossed the line in fourth place, while Greg Biffle was sixth.
Rounding out the rest of the top 10 were Kasey Kahne, Scott Riggs, Jeff Burton and Johnson.
Next week, the drivers of NASCAR take to the track at Michigan International Speedway in the 3M Performance 400.
