Gordon wins at Chicagoland
Jeff Gordon spun out Mett Kenseth on the final laps Sunday to pull into first place and claim the checkered flag in the USG Sheetrock 400 at the Chicagoland Speedway.
Jimmie Johnson finished sixth on the day and continues to lead the Nextel Cup Standings. Johnson holds an eight point lead over Kenseth, who finished 21st after spinning out.
Crossing the line behind Gordon was Jeff Burton in second place, followed by Kyle Busch in third. Kevin Harvick was fourth, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. was fifth.
Rounding out the rest of the top 10 were Johnson, Reed Sorenson, Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer and J.J. Yeley.
The drivers of NASCAR take to the track next week at the New Hampshire International Speedway for the Lenox Industrial Tools 300.
