Kenseth wins at Michigan
Matt Kenseth held off Jeff Gordon on the final lap Sunday afternoon to claim the checkered flag in the GFS Marketplace 400 at the Michigan International Speedway.
With the win Kenseth now sits only 58 points behind points leader Jimmie Johnson in the Nextel Cup points standings with three races remaining before the Chase for the Nextel Cup begins.
Tony Stewart was third at Michigan followed by Kasey Kahne in fourth place. Mark Martin crossed the finish line fifth, followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in sixth. Rounding out the rest of the top 10 were Greg Biffle, Reed Sorenson, Denny Hamlin and Elliot Sadler.
The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next week in the Sharpie 500 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
