Harvick victorious at Richmond
Kevin Harvick pulled out a victory in the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night in the Nextel Cup Series' final regular season race.
Kyle Busch finished second at Richmond, followed by Kasey Kahne, Dave Blaney, and Mark Martin. Greg Biffle, Ken Schrader, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton, and Scott Riggs rounded out the race's Top 10.
Tony Stewart wound up in 18th place on Saturday, and as a result he failed to qualify for the 2006 Chase for the Nextel Cup. Kahne grabbed the 10th and final Chase spot with his third-place showing.
Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson, Harvick, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Martin, Burton, and Jeff Gordon are the other drivers who have qualified for the postseason.
The Chase for the Nextel Cup gets underway next weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway in the Sylvania 300.
