Johnson wins at Las Vegas again

Jimmie Johnson held off Jeff Gordon on the final lap Sunday, as he claimed the checkered flag in the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Johnson has made a habit of winning at Las Vegas, with this being the third year in a row that he has won this race. Mark Martin finished fifth on Sunday and continues to lead the drivers standings with a five point lead over Gordon.

Coming in behind Johnson and Gordon at Las Vegas were Denny Hamlin in third and Matt Kenseth in fourth. Martin was fifth, followed by Carl Edwards in sixth and Tony Stewart in seventh.

Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch and Jamie McMurray.

The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next week at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Kobalt Tools 500.
