Edwards rolls to win at Bristol

Carl Edwards won his second race of the Nextel Cup season after taking the checkered flag in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

Edwards locked himself into the Chase after leading the final 166 laps of the race. Pole-sitter Kasey Kahne, who won the Busch Series race at Bristol on Friday, led 305 laps but finished in second. Clint Bowyer was third, Tony Stewart started 23rd but finished strong to capture fourth, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. stayed within reach of the final Chase spot with a fifth-place finish.

Ryan Newman, Bobby Labonte, Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle rounded out the top ten drivers at Bristol.

The next stop on the Nextel Cup series is the Sharp AQUOS 500 at California Speedway, with two races remaining until the Chase starts in New Hampshire.
