Johnson wins at Martinsville
Jimmie Johnson continued his recent dominance at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday, as he held off Ryan Newman to take the checkered flag in the Subway 500.
Jeff Gordon finished third at Martinsville and retains the points lead. With four races remaining in the season Gordon holds a 53-point lead over Johnson.
Kyle Busch finished fourth on Sunday, followed by Matt Kenseth in fifth. Denny Hamlin crossed the finish line sixth and Greg Biffle was seventh. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Juan Pablo Montoya, Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick.
The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Pep Boys Auto 500.
