Busch takes Dodge Challenger 500

Kyle Busch cemented his lead atop the Sprint Cup Series leaderboard as he claimed the checkered flag to win the Dodge Challenger 500 at Darlington Raceway Saturday night.

Carl Edwards pulled in behind Busch to finish second, while Jeff Gordon came in third. Dale Earnhardt Jr. placed fourth and David Ragan rounded out the top five.

Matt Kenseth finished in sixth-place followed by Denny Hamlin, Travis Kvapil, Dave Blaney and Jeff Burton placed tenth.

Busch now leads Burton by 79 points and Earnhardt Jr. by 134 points in the Sprint Cup Series standings.

The drivers will next take to the track at Lowes Motor Speedway for the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25th.
