Jimmie Johnson wins at Richmond
Jimmie Johnson held off Tony Stewart on the final laps Sunday to record his second-straight victory in the Chevy Rock and Rock 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
Kyle Busch finished well back in 15th place on Sunday, but he held on to the lead in the standings and will begin the Chase next week with a 30-point lead on second place Carl Edwards.
At Richmond on Sunday Denny Hamlin finished third behind Johnson and Stewart, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. was fourth and Mark Martin was fifth. Jeff Burton was sixth and Kevin Harvick was seventh. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were a Jeff Gordon David Reutimann and Kurt Busch.
The rest of the Chase racers after Kyle Busch and Edwards include Johnson, Earnhardt Jr., Clint Bowyer, Hamlin, Burton, Stewart, Greg Biffle, Gordon, Harvick and Matt Kenseth snagged the final spot in 12th.
The Chase gets underway next week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the Sylvania 300.
