Kenseth wins rain-shortened Daytona 500

Rain washed out the final 54 laps at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday. When the race was stopped Matt Kenseth was in the lead, so he was credited with the first win of the season in the Daytona 500.

Kevin Harvick was second on Sunday, followed by AJ Allmendinger in third and Clint Bowyer in fourth place. Elliott Sadler was fifth, David Ragan was sixth and Michael Waltrip was seventh.

Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 at Daytona were Tony Stewart, Reed Sorenson and Kurt Busch. Defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson started the season well back with a 31st place finish.

The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next week at Auto Club Speedway in the Auto Club 500.
