Busch wins at Las Vegas
Kyle Busch recorded his first win of the season Sunday after taking the checkered flag in the Shelby 427 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Former points leader Matt Kenseth followed up his back-to-back wins by finishing dead-last at Las Vegas after having engine trouble early in the race. Kenseth dropped to third in the driver standings, while Jeff Gordon took over the points leader after finishing sixth at Las Vegas. Gordon leads Clint Bowyer by 18 points. Bowyer finished second on Sunday followed by Jeff Burton in third, David Reutimann in fourth and Bobby Labonte in fifth. Jeff Gordon finished sixth and Greg Biffle was seventh. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Brian Vickers, Jamie McMurray and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next week at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Kobalt Tools 500.
