Newman wins Subway Fresh Fit 600
Ryan Newman took the lead on the last couple of laps and held off Jeff Gordon to take the checkered flag at the Subway Fresh Fit 600 Saturday night in Phoenix.
Current points leader Jimmie Johnson came in at number three, while Mark Martin was fourth and Juan Montoya finished in fifth place.
Matt Kenseth, who sits in third spot in the chase was sixth in the race, while Carl Edwards was seventh and Kyle Busch ended up at number eight. Clint Boyer crossed the finish line in the ninth spot, while Joey Logano rounded out the top 10.
The drivers of Nascar rev up their engines next when they go to Texas for the Samsung Mobile 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on April 18th.
