Hamlin wins Richmond; earns top spot

Denny Hamlin earned his sixth win of the season and clinched top spot in the Chase with his victory at the Air Guard 400 at Richmond International Speedway Saturday night.

Kyle Busch made a push at the end, but came in at the second position. Jimmie Johnson crossed in third, while Joey Lagano took his Toyota across in fourth with Marcos Ambrose rounded out the top five.

Clint Bowyer ran sixth and clinched his spot in the Chase. Juan Montoya was seventh, A.J. Allmendinger rode in at eighth, while Kevin Harvick was ninth. Carl Edwards closed out the top 10 with his Ford.

The top 12 drivers will begin the Chase on September 19th as they ride in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
