Gordon wins at Phoenix
Jeff Gordon passed Kyle Busch on the final laps Sunday to snap a 66-race winless streak by taking the checkered flag in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway.
By finishing second behind Gordon, Kyle Busch moved into first place in the driver standings. He has 80 points which gives him a three-point ead on his brother Kurt Busch, who finished eight on Sunday. The win propelled Gordon up the standing moving him into fifth place, up from 26th.
At Phoenix Gordon and Kyle Busch were followed by Jimmie Johnson in third, Kevin Harvick in fourth and Ryan Newman in fifth. Kasey Kahne was sixth, Tony Stewart was seventh and Kurt Busch was eighth. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 was A.J. Allmendinger and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The Sprint Cup Series season continues next week with the Kobalt Tools 500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
