Stewart gets victory at Chicagoland
Tony Stewart picked up his first race win of the season on Monday afternoon, taking the checkered flag in the Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr. followed Stewart across the finish line in the first race of this year's Chase, while Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski made up the rest of the Top 5 at the event.
Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer, Ryan Newman, Mark Martin, and Jimmie Johnson also picked up Top-10 results at Chicagoland. Matt Kenseth was 21st, Kyle Busch was 22nd, Jeff Gordon was 24th, and Denny Hamlin was 31st.
Harvick now sits in top spot in the Chase standings with nine races to go, seven points up on Stewart and 10 points ahead of Edwards. Kurt Busch is fourth, 11 points behind the leader, while Earnhardt Jr. is 13 points back in fifth place.
