Braves stop ailing Blue Jays
The Atlanta Braves defeated the suddenly struggling Toronto Blue Jays 1-0 in the opener of a three-game Inter-league series at Turner Field Friday night.
Atlanta won the game as a +150 underdog, while the team’s played UNDER the posted over/under (8).
Casey Kotchman drove in the only run to lift the Braves. Kenshin Kawakami pitched eight scoreless innings and scatter just three hits for the win.
Jesse Carlson gave up the winning run in relief of starter Roy Halladay, and was saddled with the loss.
