Red Raiders stop Mustangs
The 25th ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders easily defeated the SMU Mustangs 35-3 Saturday night in their season opener.
Texas Tech covered the 25.5-point spread and the 38 combined points was UNDER the posted total (53.5).
Graham Harrell threw five touchdowns in the win, completing 33-of-47 pass attempts for 333 yards and Robert Johnson caught two TD passes.
Justin Willis made good on just 9-of-16 and threw for a paltry 67 yards in the loss. The Mustangs racked up just over 200 yards total on the night.
