Yuniesky Betancourt went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs batted in for the Mariners. Jason Vargas went seven innings for the win, and David Aardsma closed out the game with his 14th save.
Justin Upton had three hits with a solo home run and two RBIs for the Diamondbacks. Billy Buckner was tagged for nine hits and four runs over six innings in the loss.
