Owls Fall 24-17 Against Navy - Game Recap
Keenan Reynolds tore up the turf for 159 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Midshipmen to a 24-17 win over the Owls at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Midshipmen earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 17-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 51.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Keenan Reynolds completed 8 of 15 pass attempts for 147 yards for the Midshipmen in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Jonathan Wallace rushed for 111 yards for Florida Atlantic, while Martese Jackson added 8 yards. Graham Wilbert threw for 205 yards for the Owls, while receivers William Dukes and Nexon Dorvilus had 75 and 40 yards respectively.
Florida Atlantic was outgained by Navy 393-323 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-17 by the Midshipmen.
Navy lost the time of possession battle 30:22/29:38, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Navy looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Troy. Florida Atlantic will aim to get back on the winning track at Western Kentucky.
