Braves down Phillies

Derek Lowe pitched eight shutout innings, allowing only two hits in his Atlanta debut Sunday night, to lead the Braves to a 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Braves were a +120 underdog in the game and the five runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (8.5).

Brian McCann hit a two-run home run for Atlanta and Jordan Schafer was 2-3 with a solo shot.

Jayson Werth drove in the Philies’ lone run, while Brett Myers was tagged for four runs on eight hits in six innings to take the loss.
