Mustangs leave it until late against Marshall

Justin Willis threw two touchdowns in less than a minute late in the game to lead Southern Methodist past Marshall 31-21 at Gerald Ford Stadium on Saturday.

The Mustangs covered the 5-point spread at home, and the 52 points scored were OVER the posted total of 44.

Willis was 13-for-15 for 133 yards and three scores for SMU, while Emmanuel Sanders led a balanced group of receivers wit six catches for 62 yards and a major for the Mustangs.

Bernard Morris went 19-for-32 for 192 yards, one touchdown, and three picks, while Ahmad Bradshaw carried the ball 20 times for 91 yards and two scores for the Thundering Herd.
