The Colorado Rockies starter Jason Marquis had his shutout spoiled in the bottom of the ninth but still pushed his team to a 5-1 win over the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park Saturday.
Colorado won as a +115 road underdog while the final score played under the 8.5-run total.
Marquis pitched all nine innings, allowing just five hits including a solo home run in the ninth. The Rockies got three hits including a home run from Ryan Spilborghs while Brad Hawpe knocked a solo shot.
Third baseman Pablo Sandoval had a lone run for the Giants on that ninth-inning solo home run. Stater Matt Cain pitched six innings, giving up five runs on seven hits.
