Mets topple Phillies for sweep
The New York Mets completed a two-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies with a 7-5 victory Thursday night at Shea Stadium.
New York won the game as -120 favorites, and the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (10).
David Wright went 3-for-3 at the plate, including a two-run homer for the Mets. Mike Pelfrey tossed seven innings for the win, and Francisco Rodriguez collected his ninth save.
Jayson Werth went 4-for-4 with a two-run dinger for the Phillies. Jamie Moyer was tagged with the loss, giving up seven runs off seven hits.
