Cubs rally past Pirates
The Chicago Cubs scored three runs in the eighth inning Wednesday afternoon, as they got by the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 in the rubber match at Wrigley Field.
Chicago won the game as -160 favorites, while the seven runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Reed Johnson homered and drove in two runs to lead the Cubs. Carlos Marmol tossed the win in relief, and Kevin Gregg notched his seventh save.
Ramon Vasquez went 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the Pirates. Jesse Chavez gave up two runs in relief and was saddled with the loss.
