Pablo Sandoval went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs for the Giants. Matt Cain notched his sixth win of the season, and Brian Wilson tossed a scoreless ninth for this 11th save.
Albert Pujols had two hits and scored once in a losing effort for the Cardinals. Joel Pineiro surrendered four runs over four innings.
