Mets down Cardinals

Alex Cora went 2-for-4 with two runs batted in to lead the New York Mets past the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 on Monday night.

New York cashed as -105 home underdogs as the teams played OVER the 9.5-run total set by oddsmakers.

Omir Santos went 4-for-4 with an RBI for the Mets, while Tim Redding allowed four runs over seven innings to pick up the win for New York.

Ryan Ludwick hit a two-run homer for St. Louis, as losing pitcher Todd Wellemeyer gave up five runs over 5 2-3 innings for the Cardinals.
