Mets blank Brewers, avoid sweep

The New York Mets avoided a three-game sweep by Milwaukee with a 1-0 win over the Brewers in the series finale at Miller Park.

The Mets won the game as +200 underdogs, and the team’s played UNDER the posted over/under (7.5).

Ryan Church drove in the lone run to lift the Mets. Mike Pelfrey pitched 7 2-3 shutout innings, and Francisco Rodriguez notched his 21st save.

Yovani Gallardo allowed five hits and gave up the lone run in seven innings on the mound for the Brewers.
