Nationals claw past Cubs
The Washington Nationals pulled out a 5-4 victory in the series rubber match against the Chicago Cubs Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
Washington won the game as +190 underdogs, while the nine runs went UNDER the day’s posted over/under (9.5).
Ryan Zimmerman went deep for a two-run dinger in leading the way. J.D. Martin tossed five innings for the win, and Mike MacDougal closed out the game with his 14th save.
Aramis Ramirez belted a two-run homer, and finished with three RBIs for the Cubs. Randy Wells gave up five runs over 6 1-3 innings in taking the loss.
