Giants stand tall against Brewers
The San Francisco Giants continued their pursuit of the NL Wild Card with a 3-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park in Game 2 of their weekend series Saturday.
San Francisco won as a +120 road underdog while the final score played under the 7.5-run total.
Giants starter Matt Cain went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out five batters. Shortstop Juan Uribe was 2-for-4 with a home while second baseman Eugenio Velez record two hits.
Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo lasted six innings, giving up three runs on six hits. Milwaukee got offense from infielders Casey McGehee and Felipe Lopez, who recorded a RBI each.
