Braden Looper improved to 12-6 with the win, and Trevor Hoffman tossed a scoreless ninth inning for his 31st save.
Justin Upton went 2-for-4 at the plate with a solo home run for the Diamonbacks. Doug Davis surrendered 11 hits and five runs over three innings in the loss.
