Braves sneak past Cardinals
The Atlanta Braves got some timely hitting from Brian McCann to edge the St. Louis Cardinals 7-6 in Game 2 of their weekend series at Busch Stadium.
Atlanta won as a +152 road underdog while the final score played over the 7-run total.
McCann hit a two-run double in the ninth inning to take the late lead. He finished the game 3-for-5. Braves starter Tim Hudson lasted five innings, picking up a no-decision after allowing four runs on 10 hits.
Cardinals starting pitcher Kyle Loshe lasted just over three innings, giving up fur runs on seven hits. Slugger Matt Holliday finished 1-for-5 with a RBI.
