Phillies sweep Nationals
The NL East division-leading Philadelphia Phillies completed a three-game sweep of the Washington with a 4-2 win over the Nationals Thursday in the series finale at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia won the game as -300 favorites, but the six runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Jimmy Rollins went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run for the Phillies. Cole Hamels whiffed 10 batters over eight innings for the win, and Brad Lidge closed out the game with his 30th save.
Elijah Dukes had two hits and one RBI for the Nationals. Ross Detwiler gave up four hits and one run in the loss.
