Jurrjens, Braves stifle Mets

Jair Jurrjens allowed one run over seven innings to earn the win, as the Atlanta Braves downed the New York Mets 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Atlanta cashed as -185 road favorites, while the teams played UNDER the 8-run total set by oddsmakers.

Yunel Escobar was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in for the Braves, who got a run batted in from Adam LaRoche in the payday.

Luis Castillo went 2-for-3 with a run batted in for New York, while Nelson Figueroa gave up two runs over seven innings to take the loss for the Mets.
