San Diego won the game as +180 underdogs, while the nine runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).
Will Venable homered and drove in four runs to lift the Padres. Ryan Webb picked up the win in relief, and Heath Bell closed out the victory with his 40th save.
Seth Smith had two hits with one RBI and one runs scored for the Rockies. Jason Marquis surrendered six runs over 4 2-3 innings in the loss.
