Athletics clip Red Sox in extra innings
Travis Buck's infield single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 12th inning lifted the Oakland Athletics over the Boston Red Sox 6-5 on Tuesday night.
Oakland won as +130 home underdogs as the teams played over the 8-run total set by sportsbooks.
Buck finished 3-for-5 with two runs batted in for the Athletics, while Sean Gallagher got the win in relief of starter Dana Eveland for Oakland.
Mike Lowell drove in two runs for Boston, as Javier Lopez was hit with the loss after allowing the winning run in the 12th inning.
