Blue Jays soar past Twins
Kevin Millar smacked a grand slam as the Toronto Blue Jays continued to roll along early in the season by defeating the Minnesota Twins 9-2 in the series finale at the Metrodome Thursday night.
Toronto won the game as -140 favorites, and the 11 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (7.5).
Marco Scutaro went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and two runs scored for the Blue Jays. Roy Halladay allowed just one run off eight hits in earning the victory.
Michael Cuddyer went 2-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the Twins. Francisco Liriano gave up two runs off seven hits over six innings in the loss.
