Twins pound Angels

The Minnesota Twins scored five runs in the fifth-inning and went on to defeat the LA Angels 9-2 Saturday night at the Metrodome.

Minnesota won the game as -125 favorites, and the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).

Jason Kubel went 4-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs for the Twins. Kevin Slowey allowed six hits and two runs over seven innings to post his second straight win.

Torii Hunter had a two-run homer in a losing effort for the Angels, and Kevin Jepsen gave up five runs in less than an inning of relief.
