Tigers push past Indians
Curtis Granderson hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lift the Detroit Tigers past the Cleveland Indians 9-7 at Comerica Park Saturday.
Detroit won as a -115 home favorite while the final score played over the 10.5-run total.
Tigers starter Zach Minor pitched five innings and gave up five runs on six hits. Along with Granderson, Detroit got production from shortstop Adam Everett, who hit his first home run of the season.
The Indians were led by Victor Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI. Asdrubal Cabrera was 2-for-4 with four RBI in the loss. Pitcher Aaron Laffey last under four innings after allowing five runs on six hits.
