Yankees rally past Twins
The New York Yankees scored three times in the ninth inning to rally for a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins in the opener of a four-game series at Yankee Stadium Friday night.
New York won the game as -130 favorites, and the nine runs went UNDER the posted over/under (10.5).
Brett Gardner went 3-for-3 at the plate, including a solo home run for the Yankees. Jose Veras came in to earn the victory by recording the final out.
Justin Morneau belted two home runs for the Twins. Joe Nathan gave up three runs in relief and was saddled with the loss.
