Adam Lind and Jose A. Bautista knocked in runners in the eighth inning. Center fielder Vernon Wells went 2-for-3 on the day with a walk while Marco Scutaro finished 3-for-4 at the plate. Starter Robert Ray went eight innings, giving up just one unearned run on three hits.
The White Sox scored their lone run on a throwing error in the first inning. Jim Thome finished the game 1-for-3 with a walk. Chicago starter Bartolo Colon went five innings, allowing five hits and striking out two batters.
