Ben Zobrist hit a two-run homer and the Tampa Bay Rays scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to edge the Oakland A's 6-5 Thursday night at Tropicana Field.

B.J. Upton went 2-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the Rays. Joe Nelson tossed under an inning to pick up the win.
Adam Kennedy had three hits and drove in two runs for the A's. Brad Ziegler allowed the winning run and was saddled with the loss.
