Scott Podsednik drove singled in the winning run to lead the Chicago White Sox past the Detroit Tigers 4-3 Thursday at U.S. Cellular Field.
The White Sox won the game as a -110 pick’em, and the team’s played UNDER the game’s posted over/under (8.5).
Jim Thome and A.J. Pierzynski belted home runs to lead the White Sox. Bobby Jenks gave up two runs in the ninth, but managed to come away with the victory on the mound.
Curtis Granderson went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a two-run homer. Joel Zumaya gave up the winning run and suffered the loss on the hill.
