Rays scorch Angels

Carlos Pena hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs Thursday, as the Tampa Bay Rays cruised past the LA Angels 11-1 in the rubber match at Tropicana Field.

Tampa Bay won the game as -155 favorites, and the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).

Dioner Navarro smacked a solo home run and drove in three runs for the Rays. Grant Balfour picked up his third win of the season with just under two innings of relief.

Torii Hunter drove in the only run for the Angels. Ervin Santana was pounded for six runs over 4 2-3 innings in the loss.
