White Sox survive late scare
The Chicago White Sox gave up two runs in the ninth inning, but managed to hang on and defeat the Minnesota Twins 8-7 Saturday night at the Metrodome.
Chicago won the game as +100 underdogs, while the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9).
Jim Thome led the way with four RBIs and Brian Anderson drove in a pair of runs for the White Sox. Gavin Foyd went 7 2-3 innings on the mound for his seventh win, and Bobby Jenks collected his 20th save.
Joe Crede smacked two home runs and drove in four runs for the Twins. Glen Perkins gave up eight hits and five runs over 4 1-3 innings of work.
