Cabrera, Tigers hold off Angels

Miguel Cabrera was 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and five runs batted in to lead the Detroit Tigers past the Los Angeles Angels 10-7 on Monday night.

Detroit cashed as +125 road underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 8.5-run total set by sportsbooks.

Carlos Guillen went 2-for-4 with a three-run jack for the Tigers, as winning pitcher Justin Verlander gave up four runs over 5 2-3 innings for Detroit.

Bobby Abreu was 2-for-4 with a three-run blast for Los Angeles, while Jered Weaver was tagged for five runs over 5 1-3 innings to take the loss for the Angels.
