Miguel Olivo launched a three-run homer for the Royals. Zack Greinke pitched five scoreless innings to earn the victory.
Miguel Cabrera went deep for a two-run blast for the Tigers. Edwin Jackson gave up six hits and five runs over five innings in the loss.
